Summary and Close
Dr John Powell
Technical Director, GEOLABS Ltd
John is a Technical Director at Geolabs Ltd. He obtained his BSc and MSc(Eng) at Imperial College London and his DSc(Eng) from London University and has spent most of his career pioneering geotechnical work at BRE. He first became involved with the CPT in 1975 and it and other in situ tests have been a major feature of his work ever since. He sits on many national and international technical and standards committees.
Expert Advisor, NGI
Tom is a Technical Expert at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI). Mr. Lunne was a division manager for some 16 years, but has all the time pursued his main technical interests which have centered around characterization of offshore soils through sampling, laboratory testing and in situ testing. He has conducted a large number of consulting and R&D projects in this field. He is one of the authors of the well known book: Cone Penetration Testing in Engineering Practice.
Managing Director, In Situ Site Investigation
Darren is the Managing Director of UK CPT specialists, In Situ Site Investigation. Darren has extensive experience in the field of cone penetration testing and has overseen all of In Situ's CPT operations for the past 10 years. Darren holds a Masters Degree in Engineering Geology and is at the forefront of innovation within CPT technology.
Technical Manager, Lankelma
Joe is Lankelma's Technical Manager and oversees the technical aspects of all Lankelma's testing, sampling and reporting. He ensures that all of Lankelma's work is of the highest quality, often acting as the geotechnical interface between clients and project managers, to make sure Lankelma are taking the right approach to testing, to ensure results match clients' requirements.
