COVID-19 Information

Last updated 16th June 2021

The health and safety of our attendees is the number one priority for us at Geotechnica 2021. Following the disruption to normality that has occurred across the world during the last 18 months, it is vital to us that we provide a vital opportunity for face-to-face interaction and a return to some semblance of normality; however, it is crucial that we do this as safely and securely as possible.

Geotechnica will take place in July under Step 3 of the government’s roadmap and will adhere to all government guidance regarding COVID safety. We have worked alongside the host venue for Geotechnica, the Warwickshire Event Centre, to ensure the event is delivered safely so that all sponsors, exhibitors and visitors can return to a face-to-face environment with confidence.

Risk assessments have been completed and reviewed as appropriate and we are committed to working safely together to protect us all.

What are the COVID-19 policies for Geotechnica 2021?

The Geotechnica event team will endeavour to update the event website, social media and email contact list with up-to-date information regarding guidelines in place at the show.

Please ensure that you, as an individual, check the local government advice for guidance on travelling, especially regarding overseas travel if you are attending from abroad.

Pre-registration before attending the event is strongly encouraged. On-the-day registration will be available, however will following a reduced-contact, COVID-safe procedure.

Do not under any circumstances attend the event if you are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Whilst sand sanitising stations will be available throughout the exhibition hall, we ask that you bring your own hand sanitiser and use when appropriate, particularly when moving between exhibition stands, event facilities and the conference areas.

In accordance with current UK regulations, it is compulsory to wear face coverings within indoor exhibition and conference venues. Please bring your own facemask and wear when traversing through the exhibition hall, within the conference areas and when using the event facilities.

Throughout Geotechnica the event venue team will be carrying out thorough cleaning of all public areas including toilets, public gathering areas and frequent touch points.

Please try to refrain from touching products on display where possible. If it is important to touch and feel products, please ask the exhibiting stand for gloves or cleaning protocol should you feel more comfortable with this.

Social Distancing

All indoor walkways are at least 3m + to allow for social-distancing when traversing the exhibition hall. When moving around Geotechnica, we ask you to please keep to the left of any gangway to minimise paths crossing where possible.

We are advising attendees not to engage in handshakes. Please also, where possible, refrain from sharing business cards with one another.

Exhibitors are encouraged to use digital devices such as phones, tablets and cameras to ensure contact-free sharing of business details.

Social distancing measures should be followed for any meetings, product demonstrations, entertainment or stand hospitality. There will be multiple social-distanced seating areas throughout the exhibition hall – please make use of these areas to conduct any protracted or extended discussions or meetings to leave the exhibition floorspace as clear as possible.

Please ensure you arrive for any conference sessions in plenty of time to facilitate socially distanced access. The headsets for the conferences will be cleaned between each session.
